Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah is running for 12 years now. The show is winning hearts since it aired for the first time. Recently, we saw some changes in the cast of it. Neha Mehta and Gurucharan Singh left the show. Neha, who played the role of Anjali Taarak Mehta, is replaced by Sunayana Fozdar. This so happened as Neha quit the show after 12 years. She had been associated with the team for 12 long years. Now, while talking to Dainik Bhaskar, she has shared information about other offers that she has been receiving.
Neha Mehta aka Anjali Taarak Mehta Admits It Was Not Easy to Leave Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah
She said, “When I was offered these shows, I wasn’t confident about playing those characters and therefore, didn’t give my nod.” Talking about her upcoming Gujarati film, she said, “It wasn’t easy to leave Taarak Mehta…. After leaving the show, I realized I could do a lot more. I have just completed the shooting of a Gujarati film in which I will be seen in a prominent role. It is a woman-oriented film and is all about woman power. The story of the film is related to modern Nav Durga.”
Earlier Neha had said that not everything was well on the sets of Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah. Besides, she had also mentioned that she wanted a change of decorum and conduct.
She was quoted as, “Yes, that happened. I wanted to consider my return. But I want certain decorum and conduct to change on the set. The majority and pressure work in today’s times but then, I shouldn’t be looking into that and spoil my mind. Sometimes, and on some matters, silence is the best answer. I am not here to say that I was a victim of competition, jealousy, power games, and a pinch of ego that makes people blind. If I do, I would be playing into their hands.”
