Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain is one of the most loved shows. The viewers of the show wait for the show and this sit-com has been winning hearts since it went on air. However, recently we saw the exit of Saumya Tandon from the serial who played the role of Anita. Her role was pivotal and important and she did her job nicely. The makers have been searching for her replacement as she had quit the show but the obstacles were many. Their first choice has been Nehha Pendse throughout but she had refused to take up the role of Anita. Thereafter, Saumya joined back. However, now the situation has changed. As per Bombay Times, the deal between Nehha and the makers has finally been cracked.
Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain: Nehha Pendse Opines on Replacing Saumya Tandon as Anita
In an interview to ETimes she reasoned as why she had rejected the offer earlier. Nehha said, “Yes I am doing ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’, but the fear is less now. Till September, there was a fear of the unknown. We didn’t know how to handle it, unlike now. Even Shardul had said I should take up something only if the opportunity was worth giving my life for. Today, India is doing well in terms of numbers and the herd immunity is increasing. Iske aage if I fear and sit at home, I would be a coward. The vaccines are also round the corner. Also, I visited the set once and the sanitisation and hygiene is to be seen to be believed.”
Pendse also praised the producers Benaifer and Sanjay Kohli. She feels they are responsible people. She also disclosed that she has a good bonding with them. When asked about if she has talked with Saumya, she said, “Not personally, but I have worked with her in ‘Comedy Circus’. However, I haven’t interacted with her much.”
