The audience’s favourite actor Sudhanshu Pandey is not only a phenomenal actor, but he is also a woke citizen. The actor is known for being socially aware and always standing up for what’s right. He has never failed his fans by not raising his voice and sharing awareness of what’s important. As India observes National Pollution Day on 2nd December, the actor takes it as an opportunity to spread awareness about the major problem rising ahead. In a candid chat with Bollywood Hush, Sudhanshu speaks about the issue and also gives some solutions.
Sudhanshu Pandey says, “We have been very careless when it comes to pollution control. Firstly, it is important to stop selling vehicles the way we are. It is high time to neglect the business perspective and think about the environment for our own good. The government of India has been trying hard to sell electric vehicles. However, the results are not as rapid as they should be. I think we should reconsider the way we are selling the vehicles and how the old vehicles are. Using old vehicles is one of the biggest factors in increasing pollution. Heavy vehicles like trucks and buses, and government transport buses are one of them. Not only this, but there are a lot of scooters, bikes, and auto rickshaws without any proper traffic regulations.”
He further adds, “Unfortunately, the citizens have also not been provided with good infrastructure. There are no proper footpaths to walk. Also, there should have been two lanes on the footpaths one for the people who need to walk and the other for the people with a cycle. There are various ways to inspire citizens to not use motor vehicles. Cycling is a very good alternative as it also keeps us fit and healthy. There is still a long way to go to control the pollution.”
