The director of superhit Bollywood films like Drishyam, Lai Bhaari, Rocky Handsome, Madaari, Force, and many more have passed away. Nishikant Kamat dies at the age of 50 in Hyderabad. The director was suffering from a liver ailment. He was admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad for the same complaints.
Nishikant Kamat dies due to cirrhosis of the liver. He was undergoing treatment in Hyderabad for the same disease. However, the director suffered a relapse and died at the hospital. The news was confirmed by director Mukesh Chhabra and actor Renuka Shahane.

The actress Renuka Sahane took it to her social media and wrote his friend a heart-warming eulogy. Her post read, “RIP my friend Nishikant Kamat. I will cherish the wonderful times we shared. What a talented filmmaker you were. I am writing “were” with a very heavy heart. This is no age to pass away.” Actor Syed Zeeshan Quadri also wrote, “RIP Nishikant Kamat. You were not just the future of our cinema but a great friend and human being. You’ll be missed.”
Talking about Nishikant Kamat, he made his directorial debut with Marathi film, Dombivali Fast, in 2005. The film became one of the biggest hits of the year in Marathi cinema and also won a National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi in 2006. The filmmaker hit the national spotlight when he directed the Hindi remake of Malayalam hit Drishyam, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu in 2015. He also directed Force, Rocky Handsome, and Madaari. The director also appeared as an actor in Rocky Handsome, Julie 2, Bhavesh Joshi, and Saatchya Aat Gharat (Marathi).
