The evergreen actress came into headlines when her security guard tested positive for the deadly virus. Now, Rekha won’t comply with BMC to get Covid-19 test & sanitize her house. As per the rules and protocols laid down by the government to control the pandemic, everyone should sanitize and get their Covid-19 tests done when coming in contact with an infected person. However, the actress refuses to do either.
On July 11, the reports on the security guard of Rekha’s bungalow tested positive for fatal Coronavirus sparked the headlines. Her bungalow was thereafter sealed and termed as a Containment Zone by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Now, the procedure obligates them to sanitize the house, and all the members to get tested for Coronavirus.
Rekha won’t comply with BMC:
Regardless, an online entertainment portal suggests that Rekha won’t comply with BMC. She refused to get the test done and didn’t even let the BMC sanitize her house. As per the portal, when the officials reached her bungalow, Rekha’s manager Farzana gave them her number and asked them to call her before coming. This took the officials by surprise as they were supposed to start the sanitizing procedure ASAP. Later, the Chief Medical Officer of BMC H Westward, Sanjay Phude respected the senior actor’s request and decided to call.
On the call, he was informed that Rekha doesn’t need to be tested for COVID since she hadn’t come in contact with anyone who’d been diagnosed with the virus. The report quoted a civic official saying that the actress would get herself and her staff tested and send the reports to the BMC. But she refused to let the BMC sanitize her bungalow.
