Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor recently gave an answer that has made headlines everywhere. While Pakistani artists are banned to work in the Indian film industry, Ranbir has expressed the desire to work in a Pakistani film. Yes, you have read that right! When asked if he would like to work in a Pakistani film, the actor replied that he would love to! Let us tell you, Ranbir is often known as the rebel star of the industry. He often goes against the wind as is not here for politics.
Last week, the Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva film’s lead actor Ranbir made an appearance at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah. He revealed that he has no qualms about taking up a role in a Pakistani film. He was present in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to talk about his long and successful Bollywood career that spans over fifteen years. Not only this but the actor was also honoured with the Variety International Vanguard Actor Award at the festival.
He then went on to join a panel to chat with the audience. Here, Ranbir was questioned about joining another entertainment industry apart from Bollywood. The member of the audience who asked this question was a Pakistani filmmaker. Answering this question, Ranbir first stated the fact that Pakistani and Indian artists are banned to work in each other’s entertainment industries. So the filmmaker asked, “Now that we have a platform like Saudi Arabia where we all can jointly make films. So I want to sign you up for a film will you consider doing it?”
Ranbir responded, “Of course, sir. I think there are no boundaries for artists, especially for arts. Many congratulations to the Pakistan film industry for [The Legend Of] Maula Jatt. It is one of the biggest hits we have seen in the last few years. Of course, I would love to.”
