Sunil Grover has been making us laugh for years with his comedic performances, and then he astonished us with Tandav, an entirely different character. He will now appear in Sunflower, in which he will play a different character. The actor discussed his transition from comedy parts to tackling OTT series of all genres.
“My fate took me here and to this genre. Nobody could have predicted the existence of an OTT platform a few years ago, yet it did. So, no input from me. It was the platform that came up with the brilliant concept of telling a tale. I am fortunate enough to be a part of it. So it’s a pleasant format, and we’re having a wonderful time,” Sunil Grover remarked in an exclusive interview.
“Films are beautiful and a terrific medium, but sometimes you can’t say a few things even though you want to improvise on the moment and you know it would make it better. To explain your narrative in 2 hours or 2.5 hours, you must trim the scenario. OTT, on the other hand, gives you the latitude and flexibility to create something truly exceptional,” Sunil says of the difference between films and OTT material, and what component of online material he genuinely loves.
Sunil is also pleased that OTT has given his profession a new lease of life. He also discussed the lessons he has learned during his career. He began as a comic, progressed to movies, and is now poised to control the OTT market.
