Bollywood Hush is here with the latest RRR Movie updates. In the latest buzz, 18 crores gone wasted for the movie promotions of the magnum opus RRR. The film was supposed to release on 7th January 2022. However, due to the spike in Covid-19 cases, the makers of the film have decided to postpone the film release.
Sources right from Hyderabad revealed that the ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli was very adamant to release the film this time. The source said, “And he had the backing of everyone who counted in the project, from the producers to the actors. But when the situation got worse, Rajamouli had to back down.”
Now, it seems that the promotions that cost the producers a staggering Rs 18-20 crores were a zero-result publicity campaign for the January 7 release. This whopping amount includes the budget of transporting fans of Ramcharan and NTR Jr, the two leading men of RRR, to promotional events outside Andhra.
A source revealed, “Rajamouli is aware that his two leading men in RRR have a minimal fan following outside Andhra. For the media/marketing events in Mumbai and other cities outside, Andhra fans were flown and put up in luxury hotels. All they had to do was applaud, cheer and whistle for their demi-gods in exchange for the hospitality.”
Let us tell you, even the fans of the film are disappointed to hear the film getting postponed. RRR is one of the most anticipated Indian films amongst the Indian audience. The audience cannot wait to watch the stellar cast in an enthralling story.
