A failed cricketer decided to return to the field for representing the Indian Cricket Team in his mid-thirties to fulfil his wish for a Jersey as a gift.
Jersey Movie Review:
This film has one of the best performances by Shahid Kapoor. However, the film lacks spark and lustre which just makes the film feel lengthy. It is the story of an average middle-class family. The film takes us through the story of Arjun Talwar (Shahid Kapoor) whose world revolves around his wife and son.
Actor Shahid Kapoor has returned to the screens after delivering a blockbuster movie Kabir Singh. It is much calmer and restrained than the rowdy, angry Kabir Singh. The film has its shine in patches. Jersey loses pace in a disrupted narrative.
This remake is scene by scene copied as the original. So, if you have already watched the original movie with the same title there is no need to watch the film except to watch the actors Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur. It is high on emotion. The movie highlights the dynamics of relationships – between a father and a son, a husband and a wife, a player and a coach, a failed cricketer and his friends.
