Ranveer Singh made his debut with Band Baaja Baarat and since then he has amused his fans his gimmicks. The actor in the beginning of his career built a strong fanbase because of his acting and choice of movies. However, a few years down the line of attracting fame and love, Ranveer Singh became a known personality for his utterly different fashion statements. In a recent interview with a news portal, he revealed that he made such a choice to bring out the real him. He also admitted that he does his for his own amusement. In the interview he let his guard down about his fashion sense which has been the talk of the town for a few years. For the same, he was the centre of trolls for a few people while for the others he was an inspiration.
Ranveer Singh Reveals Thoughts About his Quirky Fashion Statements:
When questioned about what he feels like to have changed the norm of fashion for men in the entertainment industry, Ranveer told Bombay Times that he did not think he would do so. He said, “Honestly, I didn’t set out thinking I would change the fashion landscape. It just so happened that when I started becoming more authentic in my choices with regards to staying true to my personal style, is when it apparently became a ‘cultural moment for Indian fashion.’ So, here was a mainstream Hindi film hero who is making perceivably risky and bold choices, donning ‘eccentric’ and ‘experimental’ ensembles, which was totally unprecedented.”
The Lootera actor revealed that in the early days of fame he he was his inauthentic self. After two three years of being in the world of showbiz, he was getting to grow tired with his newly emerged self. He feels the images of him from those days are not him at all. The actor also admitted that back then he was merely trying to conform to the societal expectations while feeling under-confident and unsure.
In addition, he went on to appreciate his stylist Nitasha Gaurav, who encouraged his ‘whimsical choices’ and it then became a thing.
