Priyanka Chopra, though has been away from Bollywood, for a while now, is heavily making it to the news because of her memoir Unfinished. The actress has revealed her vulnerable side in the book which is making fans fall in love with her more. In the autobiography, she has talked about her professional and personal life, her journey to stardom and so much more. Priyanka was very close to her father Dr Ashok Chopra. The actress was shattered to learn about her father’s cancer diagnosis, years ago. The actress father was in a critical condition and was supposed to be shifted abroad for treatment. During that time, her co-star Hrithik Roshan held out his hand in aid of her father. He did everything in his capacity to comfort the family.

“Incredibly, Hrithik who is hugely successful in the Hindi film industry got on the phone and used his connections at Air India to arrange for my father’s immediate flight to London,” Priyanka wrote in her memoir, Unfinished, according to National Herald.
She added that because of Hrithik’s help, a timely surgery was possible which saved her father’s life.
“If we hadn’t had people around us who were so kind and so willing to act on our behalf – Hrithik and his father, Rakesh Sir, our family in Boston – I doubt that my father would have made it. There’s no way I can ever express my gratitude adequately to them, but it is deep and it is enduring,” she said.
Priyanka often keeps sharing stories about her father on social media. She also has a tattoo that reads ‘Daddy’s lil girl.’
In the book, Priyanka talked about recovering from the trauma of her father’s death because of cancer in 2013. In 2016, when she moved to New York, she was going through a tough time. She was also recovering from a bad breakup at that time. The Desi girl isolated herself from the outside world and would only go out to shoot for her television show Quantico.
