Sonu Sood birthday special; Journey from a reel hero to real-life hero

In 2021, if you ask someone about Sonu Sood, the first thing they would say is that he is a Bollywood actor. ‘Good Samaritan,’ ‘Hero of the Pandemic,’ and ‘the Saviour’ are just a few of the names that have been used to describe him recently. Instead of his airport appearances, photographers frequently photograph him surrounded by grateful individuals, some of whom attempt to touch his feet.

During the previous year and a half, when India was dealing with two catastrophic waves of the coronavirus epidemic, the actor was at the forefront of relief efforts, from assisting migrants in returning to their homes during lockdown to providing oxygen and hospital beds. Since then, his efforts have only increased.

Sonu Sood’s birthday special; Journey from a reel hero to real-life hero

Sonu Sood has stepped up to aid individuals in need in the following ways.

Opened the doors of his hotel for health workers

A lot of medical personnel and doctors had to cope with the possibility of catching COVID-19 shortly after the government declared the countrywide lockdown in March. They not only had to work long hours, but they also had to deal with social shame since people were frightened of the disease spreading. Sonu Sood then opened the doors to his Juhu hotel in Mumbai to accommodate the medical personnel.

Helping migrant labours

The next project Sonu embarked on was to feed the needy. Job losses and food hardship resulted from the lockdown. Sonu then founded Shakti Annadanam in honor of his late father, Shakti Sagar Sood, to feed at least 45,000 Mumbai residents every day.

Employment opportunities

Thousands of migrant and daily wage laborers have benefited from the actor’s assistance since the coronavirus pandemic broke out. He and a crew made sure that migrants who got in touch with them were able to return home without having to trek hundreds of kilometers. Migrants from all over India were reunited with their families through buses, trains, and, in some cases, even air travel, thanks to Sonu’s coordination with state governments.

Sonu Sood founded the Pravasi Rojgar platform to help migrant laborers in India find work. He not only helped individuals get employment, but he also helped them find housing.

Support IAS aspirants

The next announcement made by Sonu Sood was in the realm of education. On the anniversary of his mother’s passing, Sonu promised to help IAS candidates achieve their aspirations through the Prof Saroj Sood Scholarships.

Providing free e-rickshaws

Sonu attempted to help individuals become self-sufficient by providing free e-rickshaws that could be utilized to launch small enterprises.

Bringing students home

“NO MORE EDUCATION LOCKDOWN,” Sonu declared as he handed out free cellphones to pupils.

Sonu Sood also traveled to Kyrgyzstan to assist Indian students who were trapped in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Georgia, the Philippines, and Russia. He arranged for them to take a charter airplane.

The oxygen Drive

Sonu also started a campaign to offer hospital beds, medications, and oxygen to anyone who needed it. As India faced the catastrophic second wave of Covid-19, the actor began distributing oxygen concentrators to those in need.
