Sonakshi Batra In Colors Upcoming Show Nima Denzongpa
Actress Sonakshi Batra is expected to appear in the show. Sonakshi’s character in the show has remained largely unknown. We earlier reported about Chandrahas Pandey, Bhairavi Vaidya, and other celebrities who have been enlisted for the event. The titular role will be played by actress Surabhi Das.
In an interview with IANS, Surabhi said: “The show would undoubtedly draw attention to the prejudices that exist in the northeastern community. How they are referred to by their given names. How they are regarded and how others comment on their appearance and eyes. Especially when it comes to their titles… As a result, this show will highlight the challenges that northeastern Indians experience in other Indian states.”
Surabhi, who is from Assam, said that she has been subjected to racial epithets.
“I, too, have been called names and made statements like this. My buddies referred to me as ‘Chinki.’ I couldn’t scream at them, so I informed them, ‘This is a crime, and you should not be referring to people from the northeast by these terms. I’ve had to deal with racism,” admitted the Colors show actress.
