Actress Shilpa Shetty who is also one of the judges on the dancing reality program Super Dance 4, did not show up for the show’s shooting today. Shilpa Shetty entrepreneur-husband Raj Kundra had been detained by Mumbai police just hours before. He was accused of producing and distributing pornographic information using mobile applications.
According to a source, Shilpa did not show up for the shoot and there are no plans to reschedule any of the show’s shoots. Shilpa took a hiatus from filming the show the last time her family tested positive for Covid 19. Malaika stepped in for her and served as a special judge on Super Dancer during that period.
According to a senior source familiar with the investigation, Kundra (45) looks to be the key conspirator. Businessman Kundra was apprehended by the Crime Branch on Monday. He is being charged under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology (IT) Act. Raj was brought before the Esplanade Court on Tuesday afternoon (July 20). Along with Ryan Tharp, the businessman has been placed in judicial detention until July 23. Ryan Tharp was detained in the Nerul region on Tuesday morning,
“In February 2021, a case was filed with the Crime Branch of Mumbai about the fabrication of pornographic films and their distribution through various Apps. On 19/7/21, we apprehended Mr. Raj Kundra in this case, as he looks to be the main conspirator. We have adequate proof in this respect,” the Mumbai police commissioner stated in a statement.
Kundra is booked under IPC Sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292, and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays), and relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
