Sidharth Malhotra is riding high on the success of his recent film, ‘Shershaah,’ which is based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, an Indian army officer who was given the prestigious Param Vir Chakra for his service during the 1999 Kargil War. In the film, actress Kiara Advani plays Dimple Cheema, Vikram’s fiancee. The two are rumored to be dating in real life, although they have remained tight-lipped about it.
Sidharth Malhotra, on the other hand, revealed in a recent interview what he and Kiara had in common. “She has a sense of regularity about her that we both appreciate. I am a Delhi-born young man who is not directly involved in the sector but has lived in this city for many years. She has also been employed for several years. We both have a life outside of the industry, and it’s something we share and value. You can become so engrossed in all of these things that you forget to live a normal life. I suppose we both have regular lives, and that’s what we have in common,” the actor told ETimes.
Kiara and the ‘Ek Villain’ star also discussed their working relationship. “We were excited to have her on board for Dimple’s role because we thought she had a fantastic sense of sincerity and honesty as an actor, which I love. She exudes a feeling of purity. She’s instinctive on set as well; I’d like to do more takes, but she’d be fine with it,” Sidharth revealed.
Shershaah is directed by Vishnuvardhan and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production. Amazon Prime Videos has the film available.
