Sheena Bajaj Rakshabandhan Plans
Talking about her bond the actress said, “I’ve always wanted a sibling and have requested one from my parents. And I was overjoyed when I saw my sister for the first time. Riya Bajaj, my younger sister, is like a child to me. I’m very protective of her, and every day is a memory with her, even when she’s on assignments as a fashion photographer. I always phone to see whether she ate, slept, and when she’ll be returning home. Our affection and bond are indescribable. Every shoot we do together, every vlog we create together, is unique. Apart from my sister and father, I have never photographed with another photographer. This rakhi, we’re going to cook something special for her and get her something special, as we always do. As usual, there will be a small family gathering.
Reena Pareek, my sister, Rohit Purohit, and I have a special affinity. My relationship with her is similar to that of any other brother-sister pair. She is a stay-at-home mom. She is highly devoted to me, and we share a striking resemblance in appearance. There was an incident when she went to a temple in Jaipur, where she lives, and someone approached her and said that there is an actor who looks like her and goes by the name Rohit Purohit, and asked whether she knew him. That poor guy had no idea he was talking to my real sister, and he was taken aback when she told him.
My favorite memory is from twenty years ago when I told mum that this year I wanted a music rakhi after seeing a friend wearing one. My sister also broke her piggy bank to buy me that rakhi. I still have it at our Jaipur apartment. She sends my rakhi to Mumbai every year. She is older than me, yet she still calls me bhaiya, which sounds and feels fantastic. I’m going to have a virtual Rakhi celebration.”
