Sherlyn Chopra has finally appeared before the police to record her statement after being called by the crime department in the Raj Kundra Pornography case a few weeks ago. When she approached the crime branch office, the actress was seen clutching a stack of paperwork. Despite the lack of confirmation, Sherlyn is expected to testify in the case. She is said to have issues against Kundra as well. Sherlyn had not been before the criminal branch in a few weeks and had even applied to the court for anticipatory release, fearing arrest. Sherlyn Chopra Records Her Statement In Front Of Police
Earlier, Sherlyn Chopra made a shocking disclosure when she went before the Mumbai Crime Branch to deliver her statement in the adult film racket. According to an article in the Times of India, Sherlyn has accused Raj Kundra. She has accused him for sexually abusing her in March 2019. Sherlyn claimed that Raj Kundra had called her manager at the time to explore a work proposition. Kundra allegedly turned up “unannounced” at Sherlyn’s residence on March 27, 2019, after a violent disagreement over a text.
She had filed a sexual assault complaint against Raj Kundra in April 2021. He was charged under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code, r/w sections 384, 415, 420, 504 and 506, 354 (a) (b) (d), 509 of the Indian Penal Code, 67, 67 (A), of the Information Technology Act 2008, and sec 3 and 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women Act 1986, as part of the ongoing investigation into the pornography case.
Despite her protests, the actress claims Raj began kissing her. She also stated that she did not want to date a married man or combine business and pleasure. Raj explained to her that his marriage to Shilpa Shetty was tough. Sherlyn Chopra had previously claimed to be one of the first few persons to raise an alarm about the adult film industry. Meanwhile, Raj Kundra’s bail application was denied by a Mumbai court.
