According to a report in live law, Justice AS Gadkari of the Bombay High Court stated in his ruling dismissing Raj Kundra and Ryan’s appeal that the remand order was legal. “The Metropolitan Magistrate’s remand to prison is within the bounds of the law and does not require any interference,” he added. Kundra had challenged his arrest and subsequent judicial detention before the Bombay High Court. Raj Kundra’s attorneys allegedly labeled the arrest ‘illegal’ in their motion to quash it.
Kundra To Stay In Jail
Apart from that, Raj Kundra’s and Ryan Thorpe’s bail applications will be heard at Mumbai Sessions Court on August 10. Since his arrest on July 19, the businessman has been held in judicial custody. The Crime Branch visited his and Shilpa Shetty’s Juhu residences after his arrest.
Shilpa has avoided social media after Raj Kundra’s imprisonment. The actress, on the other hand, recently broke her silence and issued a message on her social media account. Shilpa encouraged everyone to follow the law and sought privacy for her family in her message. Shilpa gained support from close celebrity pals following her announcement.
The Mumbai Crime Branch’s property cell has summoned actress Sherlyn Chopra for interrogation in the matter. Back in 2019, Sherlyn stated in a video that she was the first person to speak out against the adult film industry. The actress was questioned by Crime Branch officers on Friday, and she talked to the media thereafter. Sherlyn said that she was questioned about her and Raj Kundra’s’sambandh,’ as well as what other companies he controlled. “I want justice for all the women, artists, and children who have been victims of this pornographic scam,” she stated.
