A lawyer from Agra has filed a plea in the court of chief judicial magistrate seeking legal action against Kangana Ranaut for her recent “bheekh” comment. On December 15, the court will hear the case of petitioner Ramashankar Sharma.

The petitioner has targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the target of his complaint, which accuses the central government of “inaction” in the case of Kangana Ranaut’s remark.

On November 23, Sharma, the president of Agra’s Rajiv Gandhi Bar Association, filed a complaint with the court, alleging that Kangana Ranaut mocked independence warriors and Mahatma Gandhi’s nonviolence ideal.

In his plea, he also identified BJP leader Pragya Thakur, stating that she disrespected Mahatma Gandhi. Sharma was on the lookout for a way to get rid of Thakur.

Activist Vijay Upadhyay, commenting on the nature of Sharma’s plea, said it was not proper to name the prime minister in a court filing. He explained “The position of Prime Minister of India is highly regarded not only in India but also around the world. It does not appear acceptable to bring up the prime minister’s name in this discussion.”

Vishal Sharma, the vice-chairman of Hindustan Biradari, alleged that the petitioner was attempting to draw attention to his cause by citing the Prime Minister in his appeal.

Shabbir Abbas, a Congress official, supported Kangana, stating that her “ignorant talk” was an insult to liberation heroes and Mahatma Gandhi. “Advocate Ramashankar’s decision is correct.”
