Pawandeep Rajan comes from a musical family; his father, Suresh Rajan, is a local singer who performs at public events and functions throughout Uttarakhand. Jyotideep Rajan, his sister, is also a well-known singer in the state. He also won The Voice India 2015, a singing reality show in which he earned Rs 50 lakh and an Alto K10 vehicle.
Pawandeep Rajan signed his first music contract with Universal Music Group after winning The Voice India, and he released his first single, Yakeen. He is also skilled at playing instruments such as drums, guitar, and keyboard, having studied them professionally. Winner of Indian Idol 12 Pawandeep Rajan remembers his singing reality show audition. He said that he was very afraid of what would happen and that he had reservations about his choice.
In terms of what he intends to do with his prize money, he stated, “I’m from Uttarakhand. The situation there right now isn’t ideal, so I’d like to help. I’d also like to create a music school for children there so that gifted children can receive good instruction.”
