Kruttika Desai On Losing Her Husband
In an interview with Etimes TV, the actress discussed the difficult time and how she and her daughter dealt with it. “My world turned upside down after my spouse died unexpectedly. The lockdown had advantages and disadvantages. On one hand, it was lovely to have that peace and mend peacefully at home with my daughter Ayesha. I needed time to process this tragedy, and the lockdown provided it. My daughter and I, on the other hand, were left alone just a few days after Dad died. In our moment of sadness, no one could come to see us or console us. We had to deal with our loss on our own,” Krutika added.
“It was difficult, but the way he said goodbye gave me hope. ‘Chalo Krutika, I’m leaving now,’ he muttered, closing his eyes. In those final moments, he conveyed so much through his eyes, and he lavished his love and strength on me. That gave me the strength to move forward and become stronger for my kid, who was close to him,” the actress continued.
Krutika opened up about her first encounter with her late spouse, revealing that she met him in 1988 when he placed her in a play he was directing. Krutika was 23 and he was 41 at the time. She claimed that they fell in love spontaneously throughout their rehearsals and that it was evident that they would marry. He was a highly bright, charming, and clever man, she said. Krutika was unconcerned about the age difference.
