So many shows coming and leaving on-air and off-air, there has rarely been a show with an elderly couple as the show’s leading couple. That is about to happen, as well-known producer Rajita Sharma is getting ready to launch her show, which will star Rajendra Gupta and Sushmita Mukherjee.
And now that the show’s promo has aired, additional casting announcements are trickling in, including actor Mamta Verma landing a key role. In the show, the actor will portray Gupta’s on-screen daughter-in-law. In the drama Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana, Verma recently played the on-screen mother of actor Esha Kansara.
“Zindagi was a lovely show, and I received a positive response for it. As a result, it was understandably sad when the decision to remove it from the air was made. It’s never a good feeling when a show comes to an end. So many people rely on it for their livelihood. Yes, the new character has a different tint. Yet it’s again a positive one. You constantly want to play diverse characters as an actor,” Verma stated in an interview with ETimes TV.
“It’s good to work with senior folks, as you get to learn a lot from them and hone your talents along the way. People with more experience can help you perform better. In my previous show, I worked with Sulbha Arya Ji and Sudhir Pandey Ji, and in this one, I’m working with a new group of skilled performers.
It’s very inspiring to see that even after achieving so much in their careers, they remain grounded, genuine, and committed to their work. It motivates you to stay grounded as well. It makes you believe that “passion and emotion Kabhi khona nahi chahiye”. Since when I decided to become an actor, the first thing that sprang to me was “passion and emotion,” not “glamour or money.”
