On Saturday evening, Bollywood actress Malaika Arora met in a car accident. According to a story in the Hindustan Times, the actress’ car met with an accident on the motorway near Khopoli, Maharashtra. Malaika was said to have suffered minor injuries and was rushed to the Apollo hospital nearby.
The accident occurred at the 38-kilometer mark on the Mumbai-Pune motorway, which is an accident-prone area. All three cars collided, causing damage to all three of them. The motorists left the scene of the crash right away, so it’s unclear what kind of injuries they had. According to Hindustan Times, police inspector Shirish Pawar of the Khopoli police station claimed, “All have got very minor injuries.”
For the time being, cops are investigating the issue; an FIR will be filed later. According to Hindustan Times, assistant police inspector Haresh Kalsekar of Khopoli police station said, “We have made a notice of the occurrence and an FIR will be launched after examining how the accident happened and who was at fault.”
Meanwhile, Amrita, the actress’ sister, verified the news to ETimes and stated that she is improving.
Apart from that, a close friend of the actress told India Today that she is fine. No significant injuries were sustained. According to the source, Malaika will be released tomorrow, on Sunday.
Malaika Arora is best known for her superhit songs, such as Chaiyya Chaiyya from the 1995 film Bombay and Munni Badnaam Hui from the 2010 film Dabangg. She’s also served as a judge on several reality shows which include India’s Best Dancer, India’s Got Talent, and Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa.
