Kriti Sanon is in the midst of one of the most thrilling periods of her career. Her upcoming film, Mimi, seems promising, and it will be followed by ‘Bachchan Pandey,’ ‘Ganapath,’ ‘Bhediya,’ and ‘Adipurush.’ Today is the 31st birthday of the actress, who debuted in cinema with 2014’s ‘Heropanti.’ Sanon treated her family to a special screening of “Mimi” as she brings in her birthday.
Kriti Sanon Celebrates her birthday with a special screening of ‘Mimi’ and cake cutting
Sanon radiated happiness and excitement as she cut her birthday cake. She joyfully posed for the cameras and savoring every second of it. Given the high expectations that people have for the film, it appears that she is optimistic about the reactions that will follow.
For Sanon, this film represents how far she has progressed in her profession. She is ready to carry a film on her competent shoulders after seven years in the profession and many hits. “This is my most significant project since it is my first feature picture; it is a huge responsibility. People have put their money into [me] because they believe in me. With the success of Bareilly Ki Barfi and Luka Chuppi , I had the confidence and desire to discover something more character-driven.”
Not long ago, the industry thought that a young actress playing a mother was committing career suicide. She’s relieved that we’ve put behind such backward notions. “It wasn’t until I heard others say, ‘You shouldn’t play a mother so early in your career,’ that it occurred to me. [Such concepts] don’t bother me. Dinoo [Dinesh Vijan], my producer, was taken aback by how beautifully my performance turned out. The maternal instinct is present in all women. I have a chhoti mummy inside me because I’m protective towards my younger sister, therefore there’s a chhoti mummy inside me,” she chuckles.
Tripathi, who played her father in Bareilly Ki Barfi, appears in the film.
