A scoop in Pinkvilla this morning said that actor Vicky Kaushal and producer-director Karan Johar were reuniting. The termination of Kaushal’s huge project Ashwathama with producers Ronnie Screwvala and director Aditya Dhar, according to the source, facilitated an impetuous arrangement.
The article in Pinkvilla stated, “While Karan Johar and Shashank Khaitan’s comedy-thriller Mr. Lele is virtually finished (a few days of patchwork remain), the director has already engaged Vicky Kaushal for another project. The actor’s calendar is now blank for the dates he has committed to Aditya Dhar and Ronnie Screwvala’s Ashwatthama, in which he co-stars Sara Ali Khan, and the filmmaker is eager to fill them in.”
Karan Johar Says ‘No New Movie With Vicky Kaushal’
Karan has, however, categorically denied any intentions for a new project starring Vicky Kaushal, according to sources. “No, not at all,” Karan says. Currently, there is no film starring Vicky Kaushal.”
Karan is currently caring for his mother, who has undergone two major operations. “She has returned home and is doing fine. I’m still in discomfort. But it will take a few days,” the obedient son says.
Vicky Kaushal, who has just celebrated nine years in Bollywood, will next be seen in Shoojit Sircar’s Sardar Udham Singh and Mr. Lele. He also has Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur and Vijay Krishna Acharya’s upcoming family comedy with Manushi Chhillar for Yash Raj Films. Meanwhile, Karan will return to directing with Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Alia Bhatt, and Ranveer Singh in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.’
