Jiah Khan’s death is one of the most controversial cases in recent memory, and authorities are still looking into it. Sooraj Pancholi, who was formerly considered the primary suspect in the crime, began a new life, believing that the matter had been closed. The trial in Jiah Khan’s case, in which the actor is charged, has now been rescheduled for this afternoon in the CBI Court.
Jiah Khan’s case transferred to Special CBI court
The Mumbai Police and the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) investigated Jiah’s claimed suicide, but the trial began in the early days of 2019 with little progress. Meanwhile, Rabia, the mother of the Housefull star, has been battling for justice for her daughter. Jiah had no fault and was innocent. According to the court’s decision, the case was transferred to a Special CBI Court.
In a recent ETimes article, Rabia claimed, “The innocent Jiah had no-fault. The court has made a wise judgment. After nine years, the CBI will recover evidence from Maharashtra police. The CBI has Scarman’s findings, as well as expert forensic reports. They need to submit evidence to forensics to see if the ligature may have imprinted just injuries on Jiah. Because Jiah would never take her own life. She was slain beyond a reasonable doubt, we anticipate applaudable answers to the truth.”
For the uninitiated, Jiah Khan was found dead in her Juhu residence on June 3, 2013, causing national outrage. The scandal persists, and Pancholi is still linked to it and is under continual investigation, even though nothing has been proven since then.
Jiah was a British-American actress who made her Bollywood debut in 2007 alongside Amitabh Bachchan in Ram Gopal Varma’s Nishabd. She was lauded for her performance in the film. Jiah went on to work with Aamir Khan in Ghajini, Shahid Kapoor in Chance Pe Dance, and Sajid Khan in Housefull. Housefull was her last feature.
