Param Singh has long been a fan favorite, and when his most recent show, Ishk Par Zor Nahi, was canceled due to low ratings, everyone was taken aback. In an interview with The Times of India, the actor expressed his disappointment that good TV concepts do not receive big ratings. While he went on to say that the show was a hit on social media, it’s odd that experiments don’t translate well to the screen and cliched content does. He claims that the creators sell what people want and that those who come up with original ideas don’t succeed. According to him, the Indian television audience is still regressive.
Nonetheless, he expresses his gratitude for being a part of a show like Ishk Par Zor Nahi. The show received an extension despite low ratings, and while he was surprised, he eventually moved on. The actor went on to say that he is not a fan of saas-bahu sagas. He picked this area because he wanted to make decent shows above money and fame. He went on to say that the projects he’s been a part of in the past have been different. Param wants to be pushed as an actor. He also wants to be smart with his decisions, and that he’s willing to watch things thrive and fail.
Param went on to say that he will never do a show that requires bold scenes. Because he was told it would be edited when he did it for his web show. But it was never done. He went on to say that he would never do personal moments in a show again. He stated that he is fine with doing a scenario for 2-3 seconds. But that it is not acceptable to exhibit them for more than a minute.
