Grandmother of Kareena Kapoor’s and Saif Ali Khan’s kids, Sharmila Tagore, is yet to meet the tiny one. In February of this year, the couple welcomed their second child Jehangir Ali Khan into the world. Sharmila has been staying in Pataudi Palace in Haryana for months while her husband and children live in Mumbai.
Grandmom Sharmila Tagore Is Yet To See Jehangir Ali Khan
Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s second son was born more than six months ago. Jehangir’s paternal grandmother has yet to see him, despite the couple’s second-first born’s public appearance this weekend. Despite spending time with both his maternal grandparents (Babita and Randhir Kapoor), the small child has yet to meet his Daadi Sharmila Tagore. Sharmilaji stays in Delhi and hasn’t been traveling because of the pandemic, a family source adds. Saif and Kareena will be in Delhi shortly. Otherwise, the entire family would gather in their ancestral town for the annual family reunion at the end of the year.”
Sharmilaji can take refuge in video calls until then. She also spends a lot of time with Soha’s daughter Inaaya, who is her granddaughter.
Jehangir Ali Khan, the second son of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, is named after Jehangir, the fourth Mughal emperor who reigned for 22 years. Taimur, their first son, is named after a late-14th-century Mughal Turco-Mongol conqueror who conquered India.
In December 2016, Kareena married actor Saif Ali Khan and had their first kid, Taimur. Saif Tagore is the son of former actress Sharmila Tagore.
Sharmila Tagore’s grandmother, Latika Tagore, was Rabindranath Tagore’s brother Dwijendranath Tagore’s granddaughter. So, like his elder brother Taimur, Jehangir Ali Khan is linked to Prithviraj Kapoor, India’s finest showman, and Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore.
