Gauri Khan is famous for her interior designing skills and studio ‘Gauri Khan Designs’. However, it took time for her to grow to that fame and earlier she was only known to be Shahrukh Khan’s wife. Now, she has made a mark for herself by earning her own name and establishing her brand. Apart from this, she is also a movie producer. In an interview to NDTV, she disclosed the reason of how her huge bungalow remains well-organized and sanitized at all times. She said that things in her house are remote controlled by her mother Savita Chhiba. Her mother ensures that the house remains clean at all times and is well-sanitized as well. Khan also talked about the dual purpose. She said this keeps her mother busy and also also keeps in check her house staff.
Gauri Khan Discloses the Secret behind the Well-Organized ‘Mannat’:
Gauri shared that her mum controls the chores of her house through WhatsApp messages and phone calls. She claimed, “Most of my organisation has been remote-controlled by my mum, who is in Delhi. She is on the hotline with the staff, pictures going back and forth, WhatsApp messages… ‘This space is dirty and this needs a full cleanup, this needs sanitisation’ and all that goes on. It keeps her busy and it keeps my staff in check.”
She also mentioned that she has learned a lot from her mother. Khan said, “I have learned so much from her, she is basically handling my home through remote control, via messages and phone calls. She has been a huge helping hand.”
On the other hand, Gauri is all set to turn an author with a coffee-table interior designer book. The books is titled as ‘My Life in Design’. It will be published by Penguin under the Ebury Press next year.
The photoshoot of the book made Gauri glow in red. Check the book cover below.

Thanks @avigowariker ! @beautybyg_thelook @mehakoberoi @stylebyami @billysiddiqi @mileeashwarya19 @bottomlinemedia #Repost @archdigestindia ・・・ Gauri Khan’s (@gaurikhan) design journey started long before she took it up professionally and established her eponymous brand Gauri Khan Designs (GKD). It was through passion projects, a keen interest in interiors, and her innate talent to visualise a space that made her realise her love for design. She reveals, “I discovered my talent while doing up my own home. I realised it was something I loved deeply, but it has been a long journey that I hope to showcase through my coffee-table book.” # The pandemic-induced pause in our lives, not only made us homebound, but also made us realise the importance of physical spaces around us. Khan’s book hopes to lend inspiration, and also showcase a treasure trove of never-seen-before photos of her work, family and residence. She says, “The lockdown gave me time to work on this coffee-table book. It will contain exclusive project pictures and information that I feel could guide aspiring designers or those who are just generally interested in the art of design.” # Gauri Khan’s coffee-table book tentatively titled ‘My Life in Design’ is set to release in 2021 and will be published by Penguin (@penguinindia) under the Ebury Press.
