Your time on Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 continues to pique everyone’s interest; tell us about your experience so far.
Doing a show like Khatron Ke Khiladi is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. People are enjoying this season, and there’s a lot of drama going on in addition to the stunts (laughs), so they’re enjoying it. We’re having a great time as well. Whatever everyone’s personal feelings are regarding stunts, etc., there’s a lot of fun being had by all, and because it’s so genuine, it’s translating into numbers in terms of TRPs. We’ve been airing long episodes, and the ratings have been fantastic, demonstrating that it’s still popular and has a fan base of all ages. I’m quite pleased with how I’ve been doing on the show, and I’ve gotten a lot of great feedback on my journey so far.
What did you take away from the show? Reality programs are always a learning experience; what did you learn from it?
I think a lot of times we live in our comfort zones and barely get out of them. As far as I’m concerned, I’ve always gone outside of my comfort zone, whether it’s playing characters or even this show, a lot of things that I thought I wouldn’t be able to pull off or that would be difficult to complete, but I believe that if you push yourself, you can achieve anything, and that’s my biggest takeaway. To achieve your objectives, you must continue to push yourself. Aside from that, I’ve realized that there aren’t always going to be problems (with 13 people on the show). On the show, we’ve all bonded very well, which is impressive in and of itself. With Rohit sir’s handling of everything and the way he hosts the show, I have a lot to learn. Overall, it’s been a fantastic experience, and I’m looking forward to the conclusion.
You’ve returned to hosting, and you’re hosting a show about a topic that interests you. Please share your experience with us.
I recently shot a few episodes for Flavors of Maharashtra, which I am excited about. I was born in Mumbai, and I believe that this city has given me a lot, including the industry. This was an opportunity for me to do something positive for my hometown and state. I jumped at the chance, especially since everyone was wondering what would next after Khatron Ke Khiladi. It was a welcome break for me as well; I traveled to Nashik and was fortunate enough to see Shirdi. There are so many areas in the state that people are unaware of, and I believe that people should begin visiting within the state as well. Experiencing the flavors, given the variety of food available in Maharashtra, people must all try these cuisines whenever they visit these locations.
