As per the latest reports, Deepika Padukone tested positive for COVID-19. The actress contracted the virus after her family tested positive. Her father Prakash Padukone, mother Ujjala and sister Anisha Padukone had tested positive for COVID-19. Reportedly, Deepika is currently in Bengaluru with her family. However, she has not yet confirmed the news.

As per Bollywood Hungama’s report, around 10 days ago, Deepika’s parents and sister developed symptoms. Thereafter, they thought of getting themselves tested. The result came out to be positive. Her family isolated themselves at home. However, Prakash Padukone was later admitted to the hospital. He was admitted to Bengaluru because his fever did not go down even after a week. Prakash is recovering well.
Meanwhile, Deepika had recently shared links and information pertaining to mental health help amid the COVID-19 surge in the country. “As millions of us (I and my family included) strive to stay afloat, let us not forget that our emotional well-being in this current crisis, is equally important! Remember, You Are Not Alone. We are in this Together. And most importantly, there is Hope,” she had written in her post.
Deepika will be seen in the remake of the Hollywood film The Intern. Earlier, it was stated that Deepika would do the movie with Rishi Kapoor. However, after the latter’s demise, the cast needed to be changed. Now, Amitabh Bachchan has bagged the role. Deepika would step in the shoes of Anne Hathway from the original movie.
