Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14 at his Bandra apartment in Mumbai. This has resulted in numerous controversies. Many of Sushant’s fans and his family believe he was murdered, while the news of his suicide prevails. As the parallel investigation was going on by the Bihar and Mumbai Police, Rhea had filed a transfer petition. The petition sought the transfer of the case from the Bihar to Mumbai Police. In response to this, the Bihar Government files an affidavit.
Affidavit by Bihar Government:
In the affidavit, it is stated that the transfer petition filed by Rhea is “misconceived and not maintainable”. As per reports, the Bihar Government wants to convey that the state government holds the jurisdiction to probe and investigate the matter. The transfer-petition by Rhea mentioned that the action had risen in Mumbai so the Bihar Police has no role to play. In response to this, the affidavit by Bihar Government says that these key points put forth by Rhea should be rejected based on Section 179 of CrPC.
The affidavit also read that the petitioner has mentioned anything substantial to prove points. The affidavit stated, “Therefore, in the absence of any substantiated bias, merely on the apprehension of bias cannot ipso facto be a ground for transfer of criminal proceedings.”
Sushant’s business manager, Shruti Modi, has been summoned by the ED. She will be questioned today. Siddharth Pithani will be questioned o Saturday about the same. Rhea has requested to postpone the recording of her statement by the ED till the hearing by Supreme Court. Rhea’s lawyer, Satish Manshinde said, “Rhea Chakraborty has requested that the recording of her statement be postponed till SC Hearing”. This was quoted by ANI on Twitter.
