Apara Mehta became a household face with her hard work and dedication in the acting industry. She rose to fame with the show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. This show is still remembered by its viewers as it was aired for a long time. The show began in 2000 and went on till 2008. Each of its character has a separate and a huge fanbase. Apara Mehta Reveals How she Managed working for Devdas and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi at the Same Time
In an interview to ETimes, she said, “There are a lot of changes in the television industry and I have been a part of the change. Technically, cameras, lightings everything has changed. The major change was brought about by Ekta Kapoor and Kyunki Saas Abhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. She completely changed everything and gave a glamorous look to TV. So, television became like films and it was no less than it. I’ve been a part of that entire journey. I worked when Indian makeup was used and today everything is very different.”
She also revealed about how she bagged the show. Sanjay Leela Bhansali considered her popularity and acting skills which she showcased in Kyuki Saas Bhi. He then approached her for a short role in Devdas. She added, “He told me I am offering you a very tiny part but I feel you fit the role perfectly. When I was doing the film, I did not have the time to absorb the moment but today when I think about it I recall what a lavish set we would work.”
Also, she revealed that during the day, she used to shoot for Kyuki Saas Bhi and at night she used work for Devdas. Her two drivers also quit their job as the timings were not suiting them. She also revealed that she used to eat and sleep in her car.
