The common misconception around women and fitness is that women should avoid going to the gym or restrict themselves to the treadmill, EFX, or any other cardio exercise. The belief is that cardio is the best way to lose weight and tone the body. But unfortunately, this isn’t true. I had the fear of looking bulky. As well but working out regularly made me realize that not only did lifting weights help tone the body. But it also keeps my weight in check.

And yes, cardio can reduce our body fat percentage. But in the long run, it also burns out our muscles which are essential for our survival. Long-duration running utilizes muscles for energy, and as most of us tend to eat less whilst trying to lose weight this can create serious problems.
Also, for women, hips and legs play an important role, and we have to be vigilant and strengthen the muscle complex of glutes, hamstring, and quads.
