On August 6, Sonam Kapoor’s film “Aissha” celebrated its 11th anniversary, and the actress commemorated the event with numerous intriguing recollections from the film’s production. Sonam’s sister Rhea Kapoor produced the film, which positioned her as Bollywood’s supreme fashionista. However, Sonam said in a recent interview that after the film’s release, people mocked and criticized her for dressing up.
Sonam Kapoor Reveals SHOCKING Details
Aissha actress Sonam recalled an instance at a party in which an up-and-coming director, who is now well-established, glanced at her clothing and said, “Where is Sonam Kapoor going in this outfit?”
Sonam Kapoor went on to say that she had become an easy target. The people she had grown up with had stopped supporting her after she entered the profession. The ‘Aisha’ actress claims that the fashion business has been more supportive of her than the film industry. Rhea and Sonam Kapoor concluded that they were able to endure the film industry’s bullying by sticking together and supporting one another.
‘Aisha,’ directed by Rajshree Ojha, starred Abhay Deol, Ira Dubey, Cyrus Sahukar, Amrita Puri, Anand Tiwari, Arunoday Singh, and Lisa Haydon among its ensemble cast.
Sonam and her husband were stationed in London during the lockdown. The actress completed the filming of her next picture, titled ‘Blind,’ while in the United Kingdom. This thriller, directed by Shome Makhija, tells the story of a blind police detective. The story revolves around the hunt for a serial killer. The shoot for ‘Blind’ began in December 2020 in Glasgow, Scotland. It was finished in 39 days on a start-to-finish schedule. Sujoy Ghosh, who joined the team during the production in the Scottish city, is the film’s producer.
Sujoy earlier told ETimes of the film, “It’s a tough job, but Sonam is handling it well; Shome has been working with her tirelessly. She’s worked hard with a coach we hired to learn the intricacies of playing blind.”
