As any first-time producer would, Taapsee Pannu is giving her whole attention to her debut film, Blurr, which is being shot in Nainital. However, before traveling to the hill station, the actor had a meeting with Srijit Mukherji to discuss the future of Shabaash Mithu. In June, the famous Bengali filmmaker replaced Rahul Dholakia as director of the biography on Indian women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj.
During the current meeting, Pannu is alleged to have revealed her preparation and notes for the role she has been playing for the last year. When Blurr ends in early September, she’ll begin filming for the sports drama.
The biography was intended to begin production in April, but the second wave of the pandemic caused the team to postpone it. Srijit is presently in Mumbai, where she is putting the finishing touches on the huge picture. As soon as Taapsee comes to the city, filming will commence, followed by a worldwide release. Mithali is scheduled to meet with the director shortly.
Taapsee Pannu shared a photo in March, from the set of her next flick Shabaash Mithu on Instagram. The film is a biography of Mithali Dorai Raj, the captain of the Indian women’s ODI cricket team. Taapsee was seen wearing cricket gloves and a helmet as she stands on a cricket ground. “Smile on, Spirits high, Pitch set #ShabaashMithu,” she captioned the photo.
Fans began commenting on how excited they are for the film shortly after the actress posted the photo. The actress has been keeping her fans up to date on her filming preparations. She just tweeted a photo of herself practicing the cover drive shot.
The film is written by Priya Aven and directed by Rahul Dholakia. Viacom18 Studios is the producer of Shabaash Mithu.
Taapsee was recently seen in the critically acclaimed film Haseen Dilruba.
