Matching the standards of the Bollywood to stay in industry and managing personal goals simultaneously is a tough task. If both the goals don’t align well with each other, then dropping one is the only option which celebs have. In recent times, there are a few celebs who have bid their adieu to the industry and quit Bollywood happily.
Imran Khan to Sana Khan | Six Celebs Who Quit Bollywood:
Khan commonly known for his first Bollywood debut movie, Jaane Tu ya Jaane Na which was a romantic comedy released in 2008. After that he has given many hits like “Luck”, “Kidnap”, “I Hate Luv Story”, “Break Ke Baad” and “Delhi Belly”. His looks have undeniably made him a popular face amongst the girls. But his charm levels didn’t seem enough to make him rule the industry. He made his last big screen debut “Katti Batti” with Kangana Ranaut in 2015. In November 2020, his friend Akshay Oberoi announced his exist from the industry officially in an interview with Navbharat Times.
Sana Khan who became popular after “Bigg Boss” Season 6 has also been the contestant of “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi” Season 6. She was seen last in the web series “Special OPS” which released earlier this year. /The 32 year old actor officially announced her departure from the industry in October 2020. After that, on November 22, 2020 she married Anas Sayied of Gujarat.
Zaira became famous overnight with the movie “Dangal” in 2016. After that she was constantly the part of news for some or the other reason. But in 2019 in a long post on facebook updated us on her exit. She was last seen in Shonali Bose’s “The Sky Is Pink” which released in 2019.
Dutta who was away from the lime light for almost 8 years made a comeback after she opened up about the sexual harassment happening on the sets of “Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss”. She disclosed the incident as a part of #Metoo movement. She was last seen in the movie “Apartment” which released on April 23,2010.
Kumar Gaurav made entry in the industry with the movie “Love Story” in 1981. After he did movies like, “Goonj”, “Kaante”, “Naam” and “Janam” but these movies also couldn’t make him a constant superstar in the Industry. In 2006 “My Daddy Strongest” released which was his last Bollywood debut.
Mayuri Kango entered Bollywood with the Mahesh Bhatt film “Papa Kehte Hain”. The movie failed to live up to the expectations of the people and was announced as flop despite being made under such a famous director. Certain songs of the movie continue to be popular even after that. After that she worked in movies like “Betaabi”, “Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet”, “Papa The Great” and “Badal”. In 2003, she announced her exit from the industry which marked the end of her acting career. Going by her LinkedIn profile, she is known to be working with Google as the Head of Industry.
