Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan are two of the biggest heroes in the Hindi film industry. Both the actors have marked their places in the entertainment world. While one is known for romance and slice of life films, the other is known for comedy, action, and social films. Let us tell you, both the actors made their way to success through their own merit in this industry. But the first time they shared screen space together was in the 1997 blockbuster Dil To Pagal Hai.

The film was helmed by the late filmmaker Yash Chopra. They made a second appearance together after ten years in the 2007 blockbuster Heyy Babyy. Along with Akshay, the film also featured Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Vidya Balan in the lead roles.

Again after a few years, the duo came together for Zee Cine Awards in 2011. This time SRK received the award for the best actor for his film My Name is Khan. Here Akshay and Sajid Khan were hosting the show. The three engaged in funny banter. When Sajid asked them to say a dialogue from their films and the other had to repeat this is what happened.

SRK decided to have some fun at Akshay Kumar’s expense and said a lesser-known but difficult dialogue from his 1992 film Chamatkar. He said, “Main Akki ko koi popular dialogue nahin sunaunga. Meri Ek purani film thi Chamatkar”, and asked Akki whether he was aware of it adding, “Tum jab chote the.” (You were a kid then). As expected, Shah Rukh Khan‘s dialogue was too difficult to repeat it and Kumar gave up. SRK again pulled his legs by saying, “Bolaa naa, tab tum chote they.”

It was now Akki’s turn and he too made sure that he throws something at SRK which he can’t repeat. Expectedly, SRK failed to repeat the dialogue. Everyone in the audience was in splits. The two came to a truce and said, “We both are happy in our space and we don’t need to recite each other dialogues,” before leaving the stage.

So, this was all about our latest Bollywood throwback story. Stay tuned to Bollywood Hush for the latest Bollywood news and updates.
