Shah Rukh Khan has been missing from the big screen for two years now. The actor was last seen in 2018 in the movie Zero directed by Aanand L. Rai. In the movie he played the role of a quick-witted dwarf named Bauaa Singh. The film also featured Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. The movie with big names attached to it was expected to be a hit, however, it bombed terribly at the box office. Actor Lilliput, whose height helped him get roles of dwarf in many movies was not impressed with Shah Rukh Khan’s portrayal of a dwarf in the movie Zero. He reasoned this by giving two point of views from his end. The first being, as per Lilliput, the film Zero did not explore the emotional, psychological and social problems that dwarves go through.
The second one was he feels that there’s nothing to act when you are playing a dwarf.

Lilliput told Bollywood Hungama in an interview, “When you decided to play a dwarf, you didn’t touch upon the emotional, psychological and social problems that dwarves go through. You didn’t show the trauma and tragedy of a dwarf. Anushka Sharma played a woman with a far more tragic story than him. She couldn’t speak or walk. He was the one jumping around, doing everything, what problem does he have? So even the script was weird. Don’t know how someone so intelligent, successful… they too make mistakes.”
He further added that Shah Rukh Khan failed in convincing that he was a dwarf in the movie as much as he succeeds in his romantic roles.
Lilliput further said that even when he did not know the storyline his reaction was Shah Rukh should not have done the film. He said it is difficult to convince someone that you are a dwarf through acting.
